

"Now that we have finished our new home we wanted to take this
opportunity to express our thanks and gratitude to you and your staff for the
outstanding experience we had in building our new home. Ayala and I indicated
when we met, that as two busy physicians, we would not have very much time to
spend on planning, designing and supervising our home construction. We also let
you know this was the first time we had ever embarked on any type of renovation
or construction project. As it turns out, you were absolutely the perfect
person for us and took care of this entire project from the initial
architectural drawings stage right down to the move in date and beyond. Many
people who had been through this process before gave us two main pieces of
advice before we began: be prepared for the worst year of your life and never
trust your builder. Having now known you and worked with you so closely on our
home, nothing could have been farther from the truth for us.
"You have been "hands on" with meticulous and exacting standards every step of the way. You were with us at the first meeting with the architect where we had only an abstract idea of what our house would look like; you met with us at regular and convenient times (always accommodating our frantic work schedules) throughout the construction; and we loved receiving the frequent e-mail updates so we always knew exactly what was happening at the construction site. You always checked and approved the work of the trades you hired and spotted things that you wanted fixed that we would have never noticed. You helped us anticipate the costs with very accurate and detailed budgeting from day 1 and your "open" invoice system made us always feel that we knew exactly what we were paying for and who we were paying. There were no "hidden" costs and the financial accounting was always completely accurate and honest. The house was completed on time and exactly when you predicted it would be completed before we even put the shovel in the ground.
"Your wonderful staffs at the office were always available and pleasant to
deal with. Vicky was amazingly organized and responsive to all requests related
to accounting and scheduling and always returned calls and e-mails promptly.Â
Rudy at the site was on top of everything going on and when we couldn't get over
to see what was happening, he was there to be our "eyes" and report to us. Of
course, David and Richard, both do phenomenal work in the house - the study
David created for us is unbelievable and we love our pool change room and garage
doors which he fashioned by himself. Lastly, Ingrid and Sherry made picking all
those knobs, taps, paint colors and floors so easy and fun. We were
particularly worried about how much time we would have to devote to the interior
design of the house - people had told us how overwhelming the choices were.Â
Well, we particularly enjoyed this part of the process since we could just come
to your office and you would give us a number of options (not an infinite
number!) and tell us to choose the one we like best. No running all over the
city not knowing where to begin. And of course, if we didn't like any of your
choices (which was rare) you were completely open to helping us select something
that we had seen or liked elsewhere.
The ultimate assessment of a
builder/designer at the end of the day is to answer the question:Â
"Would we use Trimont Construction if we decide to build or renovate another house? The answer is a resounding yes. We would not think twice about hiring you again should we ever embark on this process down the road once again and would highly recommend you to anyone considering a design/build project. Trimont is the whole package and we could not be any happier with our new home."
